backward erosion piping databases

These databases for backward erosion piping were developed as part of an international co-operation between the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and Rijkswaterstaat, part of the Dutch Ministry of Infrastructure and the Environment. The databases were funded by the Dutch and U.S. Governments. The collected data on backward erosion field observations and laboratory experiments are intended to improve the assessment and design of flood defences.
